Jazz First at its core is a piano-bass-drums jazz trio based in southern New Hampshire devoted to the performance of straight-ahead jazz and blues standards, written primarily in the first half of the twentieth century. In addition to the trio, we work with vocalists and other instrumentalists, allowing us to offer various sounds depending upon an event's needs. We play in restaurants and bars, for various fundraisers, perform concerts for local organizations, play for weddings, and perform at private parties. The Crowne Plaza, Nashua, is hoping to resume jazz on Thursday nights at the Prime Rib Buffet in early 2010. Watch this website for announcements of the resumption of Thursday night jazz.

We have completely revamped the "Sounds" page where we post demo songs. Click over to that page to hear some great recordings made in a Medford, MA studio in April, 2009, as well as some live recordings made at the First Church Jazz Supper Club event in March, 2009.
