Jazz First wishes you a happy summer 2024!
We are delighted to finally resume various concerts and other engagements in 2024, both private and public. The Hunt Community in Nashua has us on a regular schedule to entertain their residents, and we’re returning to the Java Room in Chelmsford, MA, this coming October. Watch our website for the latest news and announcements of scheduled events!
Jazz First at its core is a piano-bass-drums jazz trio based in southern New Hampshire devoted to the performance of straight-ahead jazz and blues standards, written primarily in the first half of the twentieth century. In addition to the trio, we work with vocalists and other instrumentalists, allowing us to offer various sounds depending upon an event’s needs. We play in restaurants and bars, for various fundraisers, perform concerts for local organizations, play for weddings, and perform at private parties. Please contact us for your musical needs at any event. For more information, send an e-mail to: Info@Jazzfirstmusic.com

Jazz First Video Shoot
Jazz First recently shot some promotional videos of the band in action. Here’s just one of the videos in the series.
Recording Session
The trio and our vocalist, Pamela Smith, went into the Rumbaugh Studio on May 11th, 2013, to produce a new demo CD. See more details, below in “New Sounds.”
New Sounds
We have completely revamped the “Sounds” page where we post demo songs. Click over to that page to hear some great recordings made with vocalist Pamela Smith in May, 2013, in the Rumbaugh Studio in Hudson, NH. Others to be found there were recorded in a Medford, MA studio in April, 2009 and August, 2011, as well as some live recordings made at the First Church Jazz Supper Club event in March, 2009. We’re happy to share some of the group’s recordings with you!
